Pretty Prints?

I have to admit, most of my life I've been pretty weary of animal prints... But, for a while now, I've seen these prints pop up everywhere. Tina Fey summed up my feelings in her January 2009 cover and interview with Vanity Fair: "Because of the Greek-girl thing... I have to be steered away from cheetah print."

Despite my heritage, I've been considering branching out... Especially in the home decor department. What do you think? Are animal prints on the way out, too much, or a fun accent?

    A touch of animal print will always be in style--like a touch of red or black in a room.

    In a previous post you mentioned what to put above your fireplace. Regarding the mirror, if you put it in the foyer, it will reflect the tv--above the fireplace it will reflect the outside and the light coming from your double window. When you get one, lean it against the table and the mantel/mantle? to see which you like better. The jute rug you picked out is nice.

    Thank you! Good point about the mirror in the foyer! I hadn't thought about what it would be reflecting there... Will have to try it out both places.
